Alberta M. “Tootie” Wells, 86, of Hamilton and former resident of Celina, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2011. She was born June 18, 1924, the daughter of Bernard A. and Virginia M. (Duffy) Hoffman. Tootie was united in marriage to Jesse Wells and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1989. For many years she was employed at Weather Seal of Dayton as Office Manager. She loved life and never missed an opportunity to have a good time. Tootie is survived by her loving sister, Joann Roark; devoted nieces, Lynne Carlson and Shari Davish; great nieces Bailee Davish, Amanda Carlson, Paige Carlson and Sara Carlson; great nephew, James Carlson Jr. all loving and devoted caregivers to Tootie; nephew, Gary L. Davish Jr.; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard Hoffman and Charles Hoffman; four sisters, Anna Marie Service, Virginia Roof, Mary Ellen Edwards and Helen Hulshult. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Church of Hamilton or Vitas Hospice of Cincinnati. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Colligan Funeral Home, Hamilton, Ohio. Prayer service 9:15 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Tuesday at St. Peter Church. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
