KNODEL, Diane (McClellan) age 58, peacefully went home to be with Jesus at her residence on Tuesday, August 5,2008. Diane was born in Cincinnati , Ohio on August 24, 1949 to Oliver and Mollie McClellan. Diane was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother.Diane spent her life as a homemaker taking care of others. She had the biggest heart, a most beautiful spirit that could find no wrong in anyone. She had an artistic gift and a love of plants. She had a deep love for her dogs, often referred to them as her “babies”. However, she loved nothing more than her grandchildren, Connor and Matthew. Connor’s drawings were her prized possessions; her kitchen is decorated with his drawings for his beloved Mimi. On February 17,1971, Diane married the love of her life, Stan Knodel. Diane not only married the most amazing man, she inherited an amazing family.She had a deep love for her mother in law, Betty Knodel and Uncle James Collopy. Stan and Diane were gifted with two amazing chuldren, Robbie Demos and Nicole (Knodel) Hatten. Diane is survived by her mother, Mollie (McCarthy) McClellan; devoted husband, Stan: loving son, Robbie Demos of Colorado; loving and devoted daughter, Nicole Hatten and loving son in law, Bill Hatten: adoring grandchildren, Connor and Matthew Hatten; beloved mother in law,Betty Knodel: treasured Uncle James Collopy; loving and devoted sister, Anita Talmadge; brothers, Kevin McClellan ( very special to Diane), Pat McClellan and Brian McClellan. She had a special relationship with her nieces, Whitney Halpern and Caitlin Talmadge; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Buffi in California, Shawana Roos, Janice Meacham, Bob Myers and loving sister in law, Brenda McClellan. She is preceded in death by her father, Oliver McClellan; sisters, Sherry Barnes and Maureen Brainard; brothers, Daniel McClellan and Michael “Mick” McClellan.Diane will be missed by all, leaving a void that can never be filled. The family asks for your prayers at this time. In lieu of flowers, Stan and Nicole would like for you to fill up your gas tank. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12,2008 at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 So. 3rd Street, Hamilton from 5:00 Pm til time of Memorial Services at 7:00 PM.
