Carol June Woebkenberg

Carol June Woebkenberg passed away on July 9, 2021 with her family by her side at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Florida Born in Hamilton, Ohio, on July 25, 1937, the daughter of Herman and Bessie (Spivey) Robinson, she married Robert A. Woebkenberg on August 25, 1955. Faithfully, Robert was her Caregiver during her extended illness. After their retirement in 1997, Carol and Robert moved to North Port, Florida, fulfilling their dream living in the Sunshine State. Preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Robinson, she is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, along with her five children and their spouses who adored her: Robert J. (Lisa) Woebkenberg, New Smyrna Beach, FL; Cindy (Joel) Bryant, Blue Ridge, VA; Gayla (Greg) Proctor, Hamilton, Ohio; Linda (Russell) Linton, Liberty Township, Ohio; and Lisa (Greg) Adkins, Fincastle, VA. She also leaves her six devoted grandchildren: Craig Bryant, Naples, FL; Joel R. Bryant, Fairfield Township, Ohio; Kendra Powell, Edinburg, PA; Kara Helton, Canton, Ohio; Stephanie Linton, Fairfield, Ohio; and Samantha Duffy, Seneca, SC as well as nine great grandchildren: Caitlynn, Dalton, Robby, Madison, Kaylynn, Alexa, Drew, Haley and Jaiden, with her first great great grandchild, Winter Rae arriving in December. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Gail (Stanley) Fannin, Lima Ohio, beloved brother, William (Dianne) Robinson, Fairfield, Ohio and sister-in-law, Rosemary Robinson, Hamilton, Ohio and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Carol was a trailblazer for the working woman at a time when most Mothers stayed home with their children. She worked at Pillsbury in Hamilton, Ohio, as a Lab Technician until they closed the plant in 1977. She then worked in the Claims Department for The State Of Ohio Unemployment Office. She then took the position of which she was most proud working as Secretary & Office Manager for her youngest brothers advertising and marketing business, William H. Robinson, Inc. She balanced her work and family life with great precision while raising her five children. Carol was a stranger to none and was loved and cherished by all who met her. Everyone was welcomed in her home with open arms. Her childrens friends loved her spunk and enjoyed spending time at her home and have stated numerous times over the years she was like their second Mom. She was the Matriarch and Foundation of her family who loved and respected her immensely. She was very proud of her Family Heritage and shared the history of her parents with all her children. It was important to her that they all knew where they came from. She loved and was very protective of all her children, and they never questioned that she had their backs. She loved and treated her childrens spouses as her own. Carol was vivacious and loved life. Her smile could light up a room and it wouldnt be long before that room would be filled with laughter as she blessed us all with her sassy wit and storytelling. She loved music & dancing and traveling with her husband, Bob, in their motorhome throughout the country, visiting family and attending Bluegrass Festivals. Often she and Bob would include their grandchildren on these trips providing them with a lifetime of cherished memories. After retiring to Florida, she continued to be quite the social butterfly and was involved in many activities in their retirement community including Shuffleboard & The Red Hats, and she taught the early morning Water Aerobics Class. Carol was special, kind, and - most of all - generous with her love. Her Legacy will live on through her Husband, Children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and all who were Blessed to know her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 10:00 AM to Noon with funeral service immediately following at Colligan Funeral Home, 437 South Third Street, Hamilton, Ohio. Burial will be held at Butler County Memorial Park, 4570 Trenton Oxford Road, Hamilton, Ohio. Tuesday, July 20, 2021 Noon
