Catherine Chapen

Catherine A. Chapen, age 94, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, August 12, 2013. She was born in Hamilton on December 2, 1918, the daughter of Gregory and Anna B. (Germick) Logary. On September 14, 1936, she was united in marriage to Donald V. Chapen. Catherine was a longtime employee of Robinson Schwinn Department Store and later at Liberal Supermarket. She especially enjoyed being a member of the Senior Citizen Kitchen Combo. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Bell; granddaughter, Melissa (Jacob) Steinbrink; great grandsons, Holden and Tucker Steinbrink; sister, Theresa Savelli and niece, Rita; longtime friend, Veronica Craig and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Sophie Short and two beloved dogs. Visitation will be Friday at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S. 3rd Street, Hamilton from 10:00 AM til time of service at 11:00 AM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
