Catherine Frederick

FREDERICK, Catherine C., passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at Hospice of Hamilton.She was born February 21, 1919, in Hamilton, at home on Kahn Avenue, to John and Cecilia (Schutte) Baker. She was educated at St. Veronica’s and in 1942 she was united in marriage to Paul L. Frederick . They made their home in the house next to her childhood home where Catherine has lived ever since. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved nothing better than making and sharing her donuts and cookies. She was a member of St. Julie’s Parish. Catherine is survived by her children, Marlene and Richard Rock of Chelmsford, MA, Karen and Vincent McMillan of San Diego, CA., Paula and Gary McDaniel of Chicago, IL., James L. Frederick of Walnut Creek, CA., and Diana and Steve Burlew of Hamilton. She was grandmother to Wendy Rock, Robyn Smith, Kirstin Warren, Melissa Tase, Shannon McDaniel, Gary McDaniel, Katherine Burlew and Megan Burlew. She was great-grandmother to Amber Keating, Alexander and Delaney Tase, Jake Warren, Peter and Marlena Smith and Charlotte McDaniel. She is survived by a brother, John Baker Jr.of Middletown, OH and a sister, Dolores Hale of Littleton, CO.. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul and her sisters, Charlotte Shelhouse and Geneva Baird. Visitation will be Friday at the Colligan Funeral Home from 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Entombment in St. Stephen Cemetery Mausoleum.
