Charlotte,Romilda Meehling, age 81, died Tuesday, March 31, 2015. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on August 12, 1933, in the height of the depression, the ninth of ten children.She was the daughter of Benjamin Richard and Macie Gladys (Poe) Wood. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Karl Richard Moyer, who she married on her 17th birthday, her second husband, Richard Alonzo Meehling and her grandchild, Adam R. Muterspaw. She was an acomplished seamstress her entire life. She obtained her High School Diploma in 1979, attended Southern Ohio College, and began working at the First National Bank in Hamilton, Ohio as a bookkeeper for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was an avid volunteer for the Alcoholic Anonymous organization, being a member since 1984. She held meetings for women at the Hamilton City Jail and children at the Juvenile Detention Center. She was instrumental in the foundation of the Sojourner’s House and worked the first night shift as a volunteer. She is survived by her beloved companion of thirty years, George Houck. Three children, Alan R. (Sheryl) Moyer, Ann R. (Thomas) Willis and Alice R. Havens. Six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Colligan Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Wade Sloan officiating. Visitation will be this evening, Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
