Claire (Wolpert) Huesing

Claire (Wolpert) Huesing, a cherished matriarch, devoted mother, and beloved grandmother, entered the world on March 29, 1924, in Hamilton, Ohio, and left us peacefully in the same city on September 12, 2024, at the remarkable age of 100. Throughout her century-long journey, Claire witnessed the evolving tapestry of life, her spirit illuminated by a steadfast love for family, friends, and the simple pleasures that enriched her days.

Born to Charles and Mame (Panden) Wolpert, Claire grew alongside her siblings—Mary Louise, Leroy, Robert, Charles, Emily, Lillian, Dorothy, and William—in a household woven with camaraderie. She later united in love with her husband, William Huesing, whose presence brought joy and strength to her life. Together, they nurtured a family that would blossom into a legacy of warmth and connection. Tragically, Claire faced the sorrow of losing her dear husband William, her daughter Janet Bierman, and a grandchild, Caine Bierman, yet she persevered with grace and resilience.

Claire's greatest pride and joy were her children: Elizabeth Huesing ( Boots) John (Marti) Huesing, Marian (Joseph) Klamo, Donald (Sheila) Huesing, Eugene Huesing, and Frank Huesing. The love she bestowed upon them was reflected in the cherished bond they shared, each child carrying a piece of her heart within their own. She also delighted in the company of her grandchildren, including Claire Harnden, Lisa Bierman, Monica (Bobby) Zimmers, Kevin (Jenny) Grant, Jeremy (Brecken) Grant, Teresa & Traci Huesing, Joe (Liz) and Danny (Rachel) Klamo, Heather Huesing and Kristen ( Jarrod) Stricker, and Colton Huesing. Her legacy continues as she is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom will carry forward her memory.

A dynamo of spirit and enthusiasm, Claire found joy in the pursuit of life's small pleasures. She adored playing cards, particularly the ever-exciting game of 500 rummy, where her competitive nature often shone brightly. The thrill of playing slot machines, with her winnings adding to her gleeful stories, invigorated her evenings with excitement. Not to be overlooked, her fondness for Bingo at St. Pete's, alongside her daughter, forged memorable moments filled with laughter and camaraderie.

Claire's life was a tapestry of vibrant experiences and treasured memories. She lived a rich and full existence, mirroring the resilience and fortitude of her generation. As we remember her, we celebrate a life well-lived, a legacy marked by love, an indomitable spirit, and a heartfelt connection to those fortunate enough to know her. May the memory of Claire Huesing continue to inspire and illuminate the lives of her family and friends, bringing warmth to their hearts as they reflect on the remarkable woman who graced their lives.
