Clarence F. Michael, 92, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He was born in Hamilton on May 15, 1918. Clarence attended St. Joseph Grade School and was a 1936 graduate of Hamilton Catholic High School. On May 15, 1943, in St. Veronica Church, he was united in marriage to Rosemary C. Schopmeyer. T/4 Michael, US Army, served His country with honor during WW II. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and was a POW from December 24, 1944 to April 13, 1945. Clarence had been employed at Herring Hall for 26 years and retired from Mosler Safe after 21 years. For 45 years he was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father Butler Council. Clarence enjoyed spending time with family in Florida. Survived by three sons, Clarence “C.B.” (Debby), Michael, Bill (Barb) Michael and Bob Michael; one daughter, Rose Martin; grandchildren, Cheryl, Scott, Ken, Alan, Aaron, Trish and Doug ; great grandchildren, Cameron, Amber, Reina, Hunter, Max, Elizabeth and three on the way. Preceded in death by his parents, wife of nearly 60 years, Rosemary and granddaughter Carol (Michael) Williams. Prayer service 9:15 AM Monday, March 14, 2011 at the Colligan Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Julie Billiart Church. Entombment at St. Stephen Cemetery with military services. Visitation will beSunday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home with K of C services at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be directed the Badin High School Carol (Michael) Williams Scholarship Fund, St. Julie Billiart Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
