Donald Bastian

Donald A. Bastian , age 85, a resident of Huntsville AL, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 24, 1929 in Hamilton, the son of William Michael Bastian and Esther (Hoffman) Bastian. On January 14, 1954, he was united in marriage to Rita M. Manrod and to this union three sons were born. Don was a valued employee of Mosler Safe Company. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather and was loved by all. Survivors include one son William W. Bastian and his wife, Jennifer; one daughter-in-law, Lori Bastian; three granddaughters, Stacy A, Charity and Amber; two great granddaughters, Briana and Kimberly; one great grandson, Chase and one brother, Robert Bastian. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Rita Mae Bastian in 2002 and two sons, Douglas A. Bastian in 2013 and Richard D. Bastian in 1994. There will be a graveside service at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Greenwood Cemetery (Section 11A).
