Elaine Thompson

Elaine H. (Tendam) Thompson,, formerly of Hamilton was born to the late William and Bertha (Getz) Tendam on July 8, 1925 and entered into rest on February 27, 2017. She married Dale D. Thompson on September 24, 1945. For over 17 years they enjoyed camping at Indian Lake in the summer and going to Florida in the winter. Elaine was a lifetime member of First St. John’s United Church of Christ. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for over 40 years. Survivors include her two sons, William L. Thompson of Murrell’s Inlet, SC and Neal W. Thompson and daughter-in-law, Sherri P. Thompson of Harlem, Ga; four grandchildren, Heather (Thompson) Medlin and her husband, Brooks Medlin, Brandon Thompson and his wife, Brooks (Biles) Thompson, Trevor Thompson with Julie Logan and Robert Mc Daniel and his wife, Jessica McDaniel; six great-grandchildren, Koby Beatty, Cooper Thompson, Jase Thompson, Kerrington Elaine Medlin, Brock Logan and Nathan Logan; one brother, Jack Tendam of Kittanning, PA.She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dale D. Thompson on March 9, 2008; her brothers, Donald Tendam, Calvin Tendam, Thomas Tendam (who lived with us 14 years), Harold Tendam, Merle Tendam and Warren Tendam. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Starling-Evans Funeral Home in Harlem, Ga. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Colligan Funeral Home In Hamilton, OH. Burial in Millville Cemetery.
