Eugene Hoover

HOOVER, Eugene of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2009, on his 85th birthday.He was the son of Edward and Antoinette Hoover. Gunner’s Mate Third Class Hoover, U S Coast Guard, served his country with honor during WW II. Gene was inducted into the Butler County and Ohio State Softball Hall of Fame. Gene had been employed in car sales and the Parks Department of Hamilton. He owned and worked with race horses for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his daughter, Teri (Gary) Hudson; two sons, Gregg (Donna) Hoover and Ronald (Kristie) Runyan; grandchildren, Jodi (Desmond), Scott (Shawna), Matt (Tiffany), Brian (Kristy) Brent, Alyssa; seven great grandchildren and brother, Clark Hoover. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, David Hoover and sister, Ann Batdorf.
