Evelyn "Evie" Becker

BECKER, Evelyn J. (Rice) “Evie”, 68 of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2009. She was born January 24, 1941, the daughter of Charles and Goldie (Harper) Rice. Evie was employed in the deli department of both Thriftway and Marsh for a number oy years. Evie will be loved and never forgotten by her family and friends: husband, James Becker; three daughters, Charlotte (Jeff) Combs, Mary Becker and Barbara (David) Hoffman; son, James Becker; nine grandchildren, Christina Coffey, Chad Huff, Rickina Strong, Ricky Strong , Amanda, Benjamin and Gabrielle Hoffman and Josh and Chad Becker; seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Lena Ferrell, Nellie Willis, Mary Dalton and Shirley Blanton; brother, Bob Rice; brother-in-law, Merle “Jack” Becker; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S. 3rd Street, Hamilton.
