Evelyn Gallaher

Evelyn Gallaher passed away on May 10, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Belpre, Ohio on April 24, 1916, the daughter of John and Bessie Richards Burge. On July 8, 1936, Evelyn married John Gallaher in Richmond, Indiana and they shared 67 years together until his death in October 2003. Evelyn loved her family especially her faithful dog and devoted companion, “Honey.” She enjoyed taking care of her home, time with friends, traveling, gardening, gambling, dancing and singing. She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and one sister. Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Lillian (Lowell) Campbell, granddaughters, Amy Michael (Doug Hall), Julie Dennis, Ellie Campbell (Don Eidam) and great grandchildren, Alison and Abby Michael, Emily Dennis, Madie, Luke and Josh Eidam and one sister, Jane Burge of Mansfield, Ohio and many nieces and nephews. Evelyn’s family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati for their excellent services, especially Keri Allen and Kathy Fleig for their comfort and care.
