Florence Goldkopf

Florence (Caro) Goldkopf, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away, Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the age of 72. She was born in Orange, New Jersey on July 19,1944 to Louis and Rosalie Caro. Florence was married to Mitchell Goldkopf on January 27, 1968 in Staten Island, New York. Florence was very involved with Beth Israel Synagogue, which lead to her receiving several awards including, Volunteer of the Year. She enjoyed playing mah jong and traveling with her sisters. She was a true fighter and a treasured friend to many. She is survived by her children, Francine (Jerry) Ross and Steven Goldkopf; her grandchildren, Stephanie Goldkopf and Mitchell and Paula Ross; her siblings, Julie (Larry) Gelb, Janet Kovacs, Jackie (Bruce) Decker and David Caro and many, many wonderfully devoted friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Beth Israel Synagogue. Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Colligan Funeral Home with Rabbi Eric Slaton officiating. Burial in Beth Israel Cemetery.
