Geraldine Carr

CARR, Geraldine “Gerry”, Age 80, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Fort Hamilton Vitas Hospice. The daughter of Thomas and Marian (Kocher) Feltz, she was born in Hamilton, Ohio on March 24, 1927. On March 31, 1951, she was united in marriage with Jack S. Carr. Gerry was a lifelong member of St Peters Catholic Church and was a past president of the Altar Rosary Society. After graduation from Notre Dame HS, she continued her education in art school in Cincinnati. As a homemaker, her life was devoted to her family of whom she was most proud. She also received great satisfaction in volunteering to assist underprivileged gradeshool students in the Hamilton school district. She is survived by her husband, Jack; Four sons, Richard of St Croix, VI, Sam (Eva) of Hamilton, Robert (Sonia) of Reily, OH, John (Jenny) of Springdale, OH; and one daughter, MaryAnn (Dave) Crease of Middletown. She loved her grandchildren, Julie (Eric) Hickey, Austin Carr, Jacquie and Andrew Carr, Jason (Christy) Carr, Alex (Amber) Carr, Margot (Zach) Stein, and Michelle Cox. Great grandchildren Teagan and Luke Hickey, Emma, David, Jason, and Bailey Carr and one sister Eileen Leffler. She was preceeded in death by her parents, one brother, Tom Feltz: one sister, Dorothy Fuerst; and one daughter-in-law, Patricia Carr. Visitation will be held at Colligan Funeral Home, Hamilton, OH Sunday 4 PM to 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 10 AM at St Peters Catholic Church in Hamilton. Memorials can be made to the church.
