Helen Rikas

Miss Helen Katherine Rikas departed this world for her heavenly home September 29, 2011. K.K. as she was always known to family and friends was born June 22, 1934 to John and Thelma (Goodman) Rikas. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Peter (Juanita Hamburger) Rikas, Phoenix, Az.. She leaves to mourn her passaing; brothers Sam (Frances Lovings) Rikas, Auburn Ill and Ernest (Cassandra Sheyer) Rikas, Hamilton; sister, Jenny Rikas, Hamilton and numerous nieces, great nieces and nephews.When K.K. was two years old, she was afflicted with spinal meningitis which left her mentally and physically challenged, she was unable to obtain any education or live a normal life style.However, she was a continual source of joy and love to all her family and friends who knew her. She will be greatly missed but they are sustained by the knowledge that she is well and healthy with her Lord and parents. Please direct memorials to MRDD in lieu of flowers.
