ROSENSWEIG, Herman, 101 years old, passed away on July 1, 2009. He was born in 1908 to Sophie and Joseph Rosensweig and had two brothers and two sisters, all of whom he had survived. They were Sam, Louise, Harry and Sarah. He married the late Deana Meisel and had five children. He leaves Ronald (Ruth) , Hugh (Maureen), Charles (Marge), Sally and Madelon. Grandchildren include Scott, Beth, Perry (Wendy), JD, Ryan, Teri (Don), Gary, Daniel, (Julie), Greg (Angela) and Tad. Great grandchildren include Emily, Joshua, Sophie, Max, Caleigh, Sascha, Sabine Caspain and Gram. He also leaves a sister-in-law, Bess Rosensweig. Herman was known for his sharp mind and his love of jokes. He appreciated the eloquence of physics as well as humorous literature of Damon Runyan. He was independent and self sufficient. He lived in Hamilton all his life until he moved to Cedar Village in 2002. He was a life long member of Beth Israel Synagogue. Sadly missed by family and friends, funeral services will be 11:00 AM Sunday, July 5th at the Colligan Funeral Home in Hamilton. Immediately following burial in Beth Israel Cemetery on Pleasant Avenue, services will continue at Cedar Village.
