James Fath

James “Jimmy” Michael Fath ,63, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Fort Hamilton Hospital.
He was born on February 1, 1951, son of the late James Frank Fath and Katherine Hughes Fath, brother of the late, John S. Fath. He grew up in Hamilton, Ohio and graduated from Taft High School in 1969. He attended Miami University. While he had a successful career as a talented architect, his greatest passion was music. Self-taught, he was a composer, arranger and vocalist. He played piano, guitar, mandolin, banjo, drums, but was a bass player at heart.
He was active in youth church activities and spent many a summer at Camp Christian. He was involved for many years in the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster, Packmaster and a member of the Scout Leadership Training Council. He loved history and enjoyed participating in Revolutionary and Civil War reenactments. He was an avid reader, Sherlock Holmes buff, trivia wiz and budding author.
He is survived by his best friend, Marsha Scharpenberg; sisters, Gina Stefanidis and Pam Norris; brother, Willard McKinley; sister-in-law, Linnie Fath; former wife, Pam Thorpe; former wife, Mary Bryant; son,Jeremy Winston Fath; two daughters, Allison Elizabeth Fath and Emily Katherine Fath; daughter-in-law, Carmen Rachel Fath; seven grandchildren, Lillian N. Fath, Kelsey N. Rolfe, Janine M. Fath, Cameron T.Fath, Emma J. Fath, Kyle A. Fath,Tristen J. Harvey; great granddaughter, Elayna R. Bryant; nephews, Jonathan J. Fath and Jake M. Fath; niece, Amber L. Fath; great nephews, Kaden, Devin, Colin and Triston.
