Joseph Hume

HUME, Joseph Earl, age 62, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away Monday, January 12, 2009 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born may 2, 1946 to Donald and Estella Hume. He was a graduate of Garfield High School. Joe served in the U S Army from 1964-1967, during the Vietnam Era. He retired from OGARA. He served his community by helping start and run many youth organizations in the Hamilton area including Hamilton-Fairfield Jr. Pro Basketball , SAY Soccer, East Hamilton and West Side Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. Joe was a loving family man, adored by all and touched the lives of everyone that knew him. The world will miss such a caring man. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons, Joseph (Tracy) and Casey (Sarah) Hume; two daughters, Tracy (Steve) Robinson and Cody (Mike) Angel; seven grandchildren, Tia, Christine, Joseph, Taylor, Jayden, Jeremy and Elizabeth; two great grandchildren, Dalton and Cameron; four siblings, Donald (Alpha) Hume, Neil (Jerry) Hume, Janet (Brownie) Rose and Linda (Ralph) Marsee and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Hume. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, January 17,2009 at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S 3rd Street, Hamilton. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
