Joseph Joe Anthony Turco, 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at his home in Hamilton, Ohio. He was born in Hamilton on December 15, 1929, the son of Italian immigrants, Anthony and Anna (Mugnolo) Turco. In 1947, he graduated from Hamilton Catholic High School. PFC Turco, US Army, served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict. On August 6, 1960, he was married to Eva June Turco. He worked almost 25 years at Fisher Body until they closed in 1987. But rather than retire, he found a way to keep busy with his brothers. They bought and sold antiques and truly enjoyed being with each other for many years. In his final weeks, Joe commented on how he had such a wonderful life. He loved gardening, working in his orchard, buying/selling antiques, playing cards (and Yahtzee), horse racing but above all, he loved his very large family. It gave him great pleasure to have small gatherings with the immediate family up to large reunions. Everyone who knew him, loved him because he gave them his time and always made them smile and laugh. He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Eva June (Smith) Turco, his children: Lisa (Mike) Tallarigo; Diana (Dennis) Howard; Tina Turco; and, Joe (Shelli) Turco, Jr; his grandchildren, Emily Foster, David Foster, Andrew Tallarigo, Annie Turco, George Howard, Joey Turco, Matthew Turco, Molly Turco and Jacob Turco; his two sisters, Teresa Cicero and Mary Barnes and a brother, Carl Turco along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother John and brother James. Family and friends are welcome to join us for Mass at Queen of Peace Church (Millville, OH) on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Masks are required. After mass, we will proceed to St. Stephens Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio where he will be laid to rest. Online condolences can be left at www.colliganfuneralhome.com Rest easy Dad, you earned it.
