Madonna Arno

Please place obit in friday hamilton journal—-ARNO, Madonna L., age 97, of Hamilton, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on September 16, 1913, the daughter of Andrew and Euphemia (Albrinck) Stock. Madonna attended St. Veronica Grade School and was a 1931 graduate of Notre Dame High School. She was united in marriage to Charles G. Arno for 64 years before his death on September 20, 2001. For over 50 years the couple had been active members of St. Veronica/St. Julie Billiart Church. Mrs. Arno was a wonderful lady, devoted to her family and loved by all. She is survived by her children, Dan (Pat) Arno, Don Arno, Diane Getz and Dean (Sandy) Arno; 15 grandchildren, Vicki (Bill) Price, Dan (Marcia) Arno, Joe (Amanda) Arno, Chuck (Ruth) Arno, Pete Arno, Doug (Janae) Arno, Jason (Tiffany) Arno, Jeannette Arno, Mark (Angie) Arno, Cassie (Aaron) Fleckenstein, Gretchen (Paul) Goldhammer, Brian Arno, Jennifer Arno, Monica Arno and Michelle Arno; 22 great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five sisters, Luella, Camilla, Martha, Eileen and Kathleen; three brothers, Florian, Robert and Sylvester and daughter-in-law, Debbie Arno. Visitation will be Saturday, March 26 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder from 9:00 AM – 10:15 AM. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment in St. Stephen Cemetery Mausoleum.
