Marjorie Jackson

Marjorie E. Jackson, age 83, of Hamilton passed away Wednedsay, February 12, 2014 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. She was born in Franklin, Ohio on January 17, 1931, the daughter of Raymond and Hazel (Willis) Shiplet. Marjorie was a 1949 graduate of Hamilton High School and a 1953 graduate of Miami University. On July 3, 1954 she was united in marriage to Keith S. Jackson and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1982. She had taught school in Trenton, Ohio and Pierce School in Hamilton. Along with Keith, she owned and operated Jackson’s on East Avenue for over 30 years. Marjorie loved her books, flowers and especially being with her family. Survived by daughter. Susan E. (Jeff) Phillips; son Stephen (Sheri) Jackson; grandchildren, Stefanie (Matt) Theiss, Josh Phillips, Jessica Jackson and Joseph Jackson; step-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Allen Shiplet; sister, Victoria (Bill) Combs. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at The Calvary Church, 7th & High Streets, Hamilton, Ohio 45011. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to The Calvary Church or the National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
