Mary Hudson

Hudson, Mary Sheila, age 84, passed away Friday, November 28,2008. Mary was born on April 18,1924 in Ireland. At the age of 18, she moved to London, England where she met her future husband, I.F. Hudson in Trafalger Square. They were married in 1944. Later the couple moved to Ohio where she forgot she was a world traveler. In the 50’s and 60’s she raised her children while working at Mercy Hospital of Hamilton and Union Central Insurance Company. In the 70’s, she drove a school bus for the Fairfield City Schools. After retirement, Mary had time for her passions; cooking, animals and her gardens. No one ever left her home on Crestview Avenue hungry. Survived by her family; two sons, Robert (Alice) Hudson of Tampa and Alan Terry (Karen) Hudson of Hamilton ; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Johnson of Minneapolis ; daughter-in-law, Terry Tann Hudson of Tampa ; ten grandchildren, Brian Hudson, Karen Hudson, Sheila (Dan) Gunderman, Craig Hudson, Andy Hudson, Brandon (Barbie) Hudson, Matt (Lindsey) Hudson, Todd (Jenna) Hudson, Tyra (Kelly) Johnson and Dane Johnson and five great grandchildren, Brittni, Jacob, Keegan, Garrett and Connor Hudson. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, I.F. Hudson and her son, Mick Hudson both in 2000. A special thank you to the staff at Sterling House of Fairfield and to the staff of Destiny Hospice for their care and concern. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Shared Harvest.
