Mary Scarcella

Mary Lou (Hixson) Scarcella, age 79 of Hamilton, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born in Hamilton on March 16, 1938, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Hooten) Hixson. She was a 1956 graduate of Seven Mile High School. On March 9, 1957 she was united in marriage to Donald A. Scarcella. Mary Lou, a cafeteria worker, retired from the Hamilton School System after 25 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Donald A. Scarcella; four children, Mike Scarcella, Tina Scarcella, Mark Scarcella and Angie (Tony) Martin; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Donald Hixson and sister, Connie (Casey) Allen. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Hixson who passed away on the same day , January 4, 2018. Visitation will be at the Colligan Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 8:30 AM to time of service at 9:30 AM. Burial in Butler County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice of Hamilton or to the Alzheimer’s Assoc.
