In rememberence of the most beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Mary Ann (Mergy) Watkins was patient, loving, supportive, and an amazing listener. She had a true understanding of empathy and forgiveness, and always made you feel welcomed and loved. Her smile and laughter was contagious. As a life-long parishioner at Queen of Peace Church, her faith was strong. Mary Ann will always be in our hearts and minds, and her time with us will never be forgotten. Mary Ann graduated from Ross High School in 1961. While working at a local dentist office on Main Street she was able to be a part of the Hamilton community. She loved to meet and share with many people, and this is what truly made her happy. Mary Ann married her high school sweetheart, Daniel “Danny” Watkins. They shared 53 blissful years and were blessed with their six devoted children; Steven (Shannon) Watkins, Susan (Matthew) Karras, Michael (Melissa) Watkins, Angela (Jeffrey) Huber, Rebecca (Michael) Heinze and Matthew (Alexis) Watkins. Mary Ann enjoyed sharing in all fourteen grandchildren’s interests and activities. She is also survived by sister, Margaret “Marge” Mergy and brother, Thomas (Kathy) Mergy. She has left a strong family of independent, unselfish, happy, and caring people. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Mary Ellen (Zimbelman) Mergy and brother, Cletus “Buzz” Mergy.
