Michele Hoelscher

Michele A. Hoelscher, 71, of Hamilton, passed away 7:00 PM Sunday, March 27, 2011. She was born April 23, 1939, in Niagara Falls, New York, the daughter of the late Samuel and Winnifred Davey. On November 30 1957, she married Neil McMullen. The couple raised their three children and together they owned/operated a successful family business in Niagara Falls, McMullen’s Collision, until she was widowed from a tragic car accident at age 25. On July 13, 1974 she married John Knight and relocated to Hamilton, Ohio. John and Michele shared many wonderful years together before John succumbed to the same illness that would take Michele. On November 28, 1996 she married Robert Hoelscher. Bob and Michele enjoyed every single day of their life together. Their hobbies included bowling, playing cards and were avid tennis fans, even in the wee hours of the night, arising to watch their favorite tournaments. She had been employed at Cincinnati Electronics and later at The Lodge Montgomery. She overcame adversity in her life and was always a strong role model and mother to her children. Michele was completely dedicated to her family. Through having many health issues in the last several years of her life, she never left anything break the spirit of who she was. She was loved so dearly by many and her spirit will live on in them.She was a loving wife of fifteen years to Robert Hoelscher, who was a king and loving caregiver during her illness. Survivors also include two daughters, Susan Hunt and Brenda Fackey both of Hamilton; step-children, Tracy (Gary) Kammerdeiner, Teri Pelligrino and Stevev (Maureen) Knight all of Niagara Falls; a loving grandmother to ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Zonola Parkhurst of Ilion, NY and Margaret Meacham of Niagara Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Neil McMullen.
