Nancy Cuemile Jackson

Nancy C. (Laswell) Jackson, of Hamilton, passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 85. Nancy was born in Kings Mountain, KY to Harrison and Margaret (Butt) Laswell. She married Charles Clifton Jackson, and they were blessed with 5 children: Rhonda, Jennifer, Jetta, Charles Clifton II, and Mark. At a young age Nancy loved reading books and her daddy always said if the house catches on fire grab Nancy's book and she'll follow. She loved all novels, especially horror novels, Stephen King being her favorite. Nancy also had a wonderful sense of humor that always made others laugh and she shared that trait to her children as well. Nancy retired from Butler County Care Facility after working as a cook for many years. During her retirement she always had a crossword puzzle, novel, or local paper to read nearby. Nancy will be dearly missed at the family Halloween party and the yearly Family reunion that she always loved attending and catching up with everyone. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Clifton Jackson (2007); son: Mark Jackson (2000); parents: Harrison and Margaret (Butt) Laswell; siblings: Peggy Allen, William "Bill" Laswell, and Gary Laswell. Those left to carry on her wicked sense of humor and love of books are her daughters: Rhonda Boddy, Jennifer Jackson, and Jetta Baker; son: Charles Clifton (Diana) Jackson II; cherished grandchildren: Desiree (Brian) Herzner, Jeremy (Emily) Jackson, Adam (Rachel) Waters, Danielle (Kevin) Brown, Natasha (Austin) Cameron, Lauren (James) Ellison, Heather Boddy, Kaytlin (Steven) Baker, Maddox (Jake) Jackson, Hallie (Johana) Boddy and Charly (Brad) Riechman; beloved great grandchildren: C.J & Zachary Herzner, Chyanne, Hayden, Jordan, Addison, Jeremy II & Teagan Jackson, Olivia & Dean Waters, Harper Brown, Xander, Thaddeus, Ewen, & Orion Cameron, Landyn, Harper, & Waylon Ellison, Lilee & Rylie Riechman. Nancy was also survived by her sisters: Jean Breithaupt, Betty, Bishop & Bonita Laswell; sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Sharon Laswell, Russell Casey, James (Tomoka) Casey & Debbie Gardner; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces, great nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held at Colligan Funeral Home, 437 South Third Street, Hamilton, OH 45011, on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 5 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 20, 2023, at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
