Naydean Cohen, of Hamilton, passed away on June 13, 2024, at the age of 96. Naydean was born on August 4, 1927 in Middletown, Ohio to Clayton and Ethel (Clark) Rudicil. She and her husband Howard Cohen were married for 69 years before his passing in 2017.
Naydean retired from Sears in Hamilton. After retirement she kept active with her water fitness classes at the YMCA, where she fostered friendships with many of the ladies. She also met wonderful friends like Nancy, who kept her part of the group after she could no longer attend. She also enjoyed tending to her yard and garden with a passion that lasted well into her nineties. A fondness for the outdoors led her to relish sitting outside in the courtyard at Fairfield Place, a community where she found a new sense of belonging.
Naydean had the best outlook on life and was the sweetest person and never had a negative word to say. She was always sharing her love and never wanted to inconvenience anyone.
Survivors include her children: Deborah (Rick) Pulliam, Richard (Pat) Cohen, Stephany (David) Sloneker; grandchildren: Maria (Chris) Coleman; great grandchildren: Travis, Lucas & Aiden; step grandchildren: Greg (Kristi) and Eric (Delina) Pulliam; step great grandchildren: Christian, Lauren, Cameron & Rylan. Also survived by many special nieces and nephews. Naydean was preceded in death by her husband Howard Cohen; parents: Clayton and Ethel Rudicil; sister: Rozella Sixt.
In honor of her life and legacy, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at the Michael J. Colligan Lodge, 20 New London Rd, Hamilton, Ohio 45013, from 10 am until the time of the service at 11am, with Rabbi Daniel Vaisrub officiating. Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery.
