In Loving Memory. Robert C. Craft, age 79, of Hamilton, Ohio and Nokomis, Florida, passed away at Hospice of Hamilton on Sunday, October 29, 2017. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 10, 1938, the son of Oscar and Mary (Tutas) Craft. He was a graduate of Fairfield High School in 1956 and was a proud alumnus of FHS. Robert proudly served His country in the United States Navy and Naval Reserves from July 1,1955-June 30, 1963. He began his career with Cincinnati Bell May 30, 1956 and worked there for 38 years. He married the love of his life, Judith Wolff on November 9, 1956 and spent the next 61 years of his life with her. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Judith (Wolff) Craft; 2 sons, Dennis Craft and Mike (Natalie) Craft; 2 daughters, Susie Craft and Linda Craft and ” #1 son “, Joe Hetterich; grandchildren, Allie, Carrie, Mariah, Ciarra, Melissa, Christina, Nick, Chris, Jeff, James (Jennifer), Alanna, Dustin and Aaron; 15 great-grandchildren;sisters, Dot (Jim) Bruck and Carol Davis; brother, Nick (Janice) Craft; sister-in-law, Sue Craft; numerous nieces and nephews he loved and many close, loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Mary Craft; son, Donald Craft; grandchildren, Christina Craft and Terrance Craft; brothers, Richard (Betty) Craft and Ozzie Craft Jr.; sister, Marilyn Craft and close friend, Peter Wolff. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus-Father Butler Council 968. He was past Grand Knight and past District Deputy. He was Business Man’s Special Deputy for the Butler County Sheriff’s Department. Bob loved being a volunteer for 20 years at Florida State Parks. He was a founding member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Osprey, Florida. He was an avid lover of the Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, The Ohio State Buckeyes and Nascar racing. Some of his most cherished moments these past 37 years have been spent at Fallen Timbers Campground with all of his family and friends when he was not at his favorite Florida home in Kings Gate Park. All of his friends there enjoyed his bike shop and his stories. He had a lot of great friendships there. Many thanks to all the people who have helped him on his journey since having his stroke 3 years ago. A Memorial Mass will be held at Queen of Peace Church 10:00 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017. A luncheon will follow immediately at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The National Stroke Association at www.stroke.org in his name.
