Rose Mary Egbert Grueheim Noes, age 105, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at Hospice of Hamilton. She was born March 14, 1912 to Frank and Amelia Egbert in Hamilton, OH. Rose married Herman Grueheim in 1933 and he died in an industrial accident before the birth of their daughter, Mary Margaret. She remarried in 1939 to John Noes and they had two children, Joyce and Donald and John died in 1959. Rose was the cook at Notre Dame and Garfield High School retiring in 1986. Until recently, Rose played cards on Thursday nights at the Amvets and was a Friday night regular at Pride Bingo. She was featured in a story in the Journal News on her 100th birthday. Besides her two husbands, parents and seven siblings, Mrs. Noes was preceded in death by her son, Donald February 18, 2017. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Margaret (Paul) Oelrich and Joyce (Carl) Roark and daughter-in-law, Linda Noes. Grandchilren, Stephanie Oelrich DVM and her husband, Alan Promeba, Richard (Julie) Oelrich, Susan (Thomas) Guerra, Karla (John) Mills, Brian Roark, Christopher Noes and John (Jennifer) Noes; nine great-grandchildren and three great-great- granddaughters. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the Colligan Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Ann Church with Father Larry Tharp officiating. Burial in St. Stephen Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of Hamilton for the excellent care given to Mrs. Noes.
