Russell Gleason Sr.

Russell P. Gleason Sr., age 92, of Fairfield, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Tri County Extended Care. Russ was the son of Albert and Hilda (Duesing) Gleason. SSGT Gleason, U S Army, served His country with honor during WW II and was awarded the EAME Theatre Ribbon w 2 Bronze Stars. He was a valued employee with Champion Paper for 43 years. Survived by his children, Randall (Jackie) Gleason, Russell P. (Linda) Gleason Jr., Bekki (Bill) Hull and Ronald (Sandi) Gleason; grandchildren, Laury (Tim) VonDerHarr, Sean Gleason, Jason (Kelly) Hull, Nathan (Erin) Hull, Kyle Gleason, Tracy (Dan) Vu and Sarah (James) Locke; numerous great-grandchildren and brother, Bill Gleason. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ruth (Sapp) Gleason; brother, James Gleason and a sister in infancy. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Colligan Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, Fairfield. Entombment in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Sacred Heart Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
