Sandy was known for her street smarts and heart full of love, particularly for children. She had a unique ability to form connections that brightened the lives of those around her. A fiercely independent woman, she kept to herself but found joy in simple pleasures. Crafting and board games brought her endless joy, and her unwavering support for the Bengals and the Reds expressed her passionate spirit. Sandy had a routine that included indulging in her favorite daily soap operas, a testament to her love for engaging stories and relatable characters. She also had a love of God.
Sandy's family remains close to her memory, holding dear the moments they shared, and cherishing her spirit. She leaves behind her grandson, Garrett Thomas, Her siblings, Grace Lawhorn, half-brother Cliff (Jen) Wood, and step-sister Lisa (Rodney) Hall. Additionally, her sister-in-law, Cindy Thomas, who cared for her and shared their family together, and her niece Nicole Washmuth, who helped care for her along with numerous nieces and nephews remember her warmth and kindness.
Though Sandra faced the loss of her son, the late Brandon Lee Thomas, and her siblings—Frankie Carol, Sharon, Scott, Mary Gail, and Clinton Thomas Jr.—her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved and influenced. Every story shared and every memory cherished is a reminder of the love that will endure beyond her passing.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Rose Hill Burial Park in Hamilton, Ohio, at 10:00 a.m. Gathered together, family and friends will honor Sandra's life and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. Her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she touched, reminding them of the strength and compassion she exemplified every day.
