Stanley H. Duke, Jr. of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away at the age of 90 on June 7, 2017.
Stanley was born in Hamilton, Ohio to Stanley and Myrtle Duke. He grew up in Lindenwald with his sister, four brothers, and many neighborhood friends.
Stanley was a WWII veteran serving in the European theater in the infantry. Upon his return home, Stanley joined his father in Duke Heating, Cooling and Electric, achieving his master licenses, serving Butler County for over 50 years.
Stanley married Dorothy Bange in 1950. They were the proud parents of Kathleen, Daniel, Ronald, Christine, and Joseph. They frequently traveled throughout the United States, visiting the National Parks. Stanley and Dorothy loved camping with their family, especially their grandchildren.
Stanley was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Dorothy; his parents, Stanley, Sr. and Myrtle Duke; sister, Marcella Sick; brothers Lewis, Frank, and James Duke. He is survived by his brother, Paul Duke; children Kathleen (Daniel) Krazl, Daniel (Susan) Duke, Ronald (Darlene) Duke, Christine Duke, Joseph (Christy) Duke; brothers-and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews; 20 grandchildren, Jason (Tina) Duke, Jeff (Carla) Duke, Amy (Dan) Snow, Jennifer (Matt) Farley, Sarah Burns, Mary (Joel) Schuler, Theresa Duke, Michael (Jenni) Duke, Maria (Josh) Gehl, Nicholas (Emily) Duke, Anne (Daniel) Roesch, Victoria (Roy) Serruto, Lisa Duke, Thomas (Holly) Duke, Katherine Duke, Stephanie Duke, Zackery Duke, John Duke, Julie Duke and Joel Krazl; 19 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Millville, OH. Burial with military honors to follow at St. Stephens Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Queen of Peace Church.
