Stanley Kunka

Stanley P. Kunka, age 92, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton on September 18, 1918, the son of Peter and Wladyslawa (Bochenek) Kunka. Pfc Kunka, US Army, served His country with honor during WW II. On February 27,1960, he was united in marriage to Gladys Crawford. For many years he was employed at Hamilton Tool as a draftsman. Stanley was a member of the American Legion Post 138 and was a life member of both the AM-VETS Post 1983 and the Eagles 407. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Gladys Kunka; brother, Henry Kunka and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ed and Joe Kunka and four sisters, Helen Kunka, Geneva Schmidt, Sophie Wagner and Cecilia Doppleb. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM at the Colligan Funeral Home. Followed by Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. Burial in Rose Hill Burial Park.
