Deacon Thomas McNeal Strodtbeck, 87, and Mary Frances (Puma) Strodtbeck, 83, while surrounded by their family, passed away, Tom on January 11, and Mary on January 15.
Tom was a native of Middletown, Ohio and Mary of Hamilton. They married on February 9, 1957 and would spend the next 60 years raising their children, traveling, and enjoying their life together. In 1998, Tom was ordained by The Archbishop of Cincinnati and would loyally serve St. Julie’s Parish as a Deacon for the next 20 years.
Tom and Mary are survived by their children; May (Ed) Loy of Orlando, Florida, Susan (Don) Reik of Camden, Ohio, Nancy (Tim) Riggs and Jane (Stu)Schlichter of Hamilton, and Thomas (Sara) Strodtbeck Jr. of Liverpool, England. They are also survived by13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and by Tom’s sister, Sara (Bill) Bayless of Bozeman, Montana.
A visitation for Tom and Mary will take place on Friday, January 19 at St. Julie Billart Church, 224 Dayton, Street, Hamilton from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for the couple on Saturday, January 20 at 9:30 AM also at St. Julie’s.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the St. Julie Billart Parish or to Hospice of Hamilton.
