Timothy J. Coffey, age 68, of Hamilton, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 2:45 pm in Fort Hamilton Hospital. He was born in Hamilton, OH on March 19, 1947, the son of Zoe Ann (Schroer) and Clarence C. Coffey. He attended St. Joseph elementary school in Hamilton and graduated from Garfield High School in 1966. On December 9, 1967, he married JoAnn Suldovsky. Tim was a Vietnam veteran serving His country in the US Army in the 1st Air Calvary Division. He was honorably discharged July 13th, 1970. He was a lineman at Cincinnati Bell for over 25 years, retiring in 1996. On June 2, 1984, he married Sandra K. Willsey. Tim was Past Commander of the American Legion Post # 138, a member of the Fairfield Eagles # 3680, Amvets Post 71 and the V F W Post 7670. He is survived by four sons, Kevin M. Coffey (Terry Tyler), Timothy J. Coffey, M. Derek Willsey and Craig T. Coffey (Carrie A.); two grandsons, Keaton M. Coffey and M. Garrett Willsey; three granddaughters, Kylah M. Coffey, Josie L. Coffey and Kylee A. Coffey; his former wife of 23 years, Sandra K. Coffey; two dear cousins, Janet Fatika and Joan Fatika and many close friends. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Fort Hamilton Hospital and Pastor Larry Davis for their care and compassion in Tim’s last days with us. The family would like to give a special thank you to Luke Hibbard for everything he has done over the years, friends like him come only once in a lifetime. Visitation will be at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S 3rd St., in Hamilton, on Friday, January 29, 2016 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and on Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 10:00 am til time of service at 11:00 am with Pastor John Lewis of the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
