Yvonne Anita Rogers, 83, of Hamilton, Ohio, passed away on May 22, 2024, in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born on February 26, 1941 to Edward and Janet ( Fenzel) Yordy, in Hamilton, Ohio.
Yvonne graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1958 and completed her nursing training in 1960. In 1964, she met the love of her life, John Alden Rogers, and they married on July 17, 1965. Together, they were blessed with 4 children: John, Christopher, Anita and Stephen. Yvonne was a devoted military wife and mother for 12 years, worked at St. Mary's in the cafeteria, and was a caregiver. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, fishing, playing cards, and games. Yvonne cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who found solace in reading her prayer books. Known for her caring and giving nature, she generously supported multiple charities.
Yvonne is survived by her children, Christopher (Tina) Rogers of Fairfield, Ohio, Anita (Dave) Albin of Hamilton, Ohio, and Stephen Rogers of Trenton, Ohio. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Keith (Sophie), Christina (Tyler), Drew, Emily, Allison, Jacob, Paige and Justin and 4 great-grandchildren Addison, Sadie, Asher and Ara Mae, sister-in-law Delores "Dee" Yordy and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Janet, her loving husband of 37 years John, her beloved son, John Edward Rogers and grandsons Brandon and Austin, brothers Frederick and Douglas Yordy, and daughter-in-law Amy Rogers.
Visitation will be at St. Julie Billiart Parish, 224 Dayton St, Hamilton, OH 45011, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9 am until the time of Mass at 10 am. Burial will follow at St. Stephens Cemetery.
