JEFFERIES, Betty J.,79, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, September 1,2008.She was born in Hamilton, on June 9,1929, the daughter of Lawrence J. and Mary Louise “Mayme” (Garrett) Janssen. Betty was a 1947 graduate of Notre Dame High School. On October 18,1951, she was united in marriage to Paul M. Jefferies in St. Stephen Church. Mrs. Jefferies retired from Sears in 1989 due to an injury.She was a member of St. Joseph Church and the Altar Rosary Society.Survivors include her children; Bart Jefferies and Claudia Jefferies; three granddaughters, Regina Stanzak Franchini, Melissa Stanzak and Sara Tucker; family friend, Kevin Kiefer and close friends of 60 years, Virginia Rieff and Marge Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul December 4,2004, and two sisters, Phyllis Jean Janssen and Patricia Ann Bailey. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 So. 3rd Street, Hamilton. Mass of the Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday at St. Joseph Church. Burial in St. Stephen Cemetery.
