RUTHERFORD, Carla, age 41, of Trenton, passed away 11:50 AM Monday, May 4, 2009. She was born in Hazel Park, Michigan on January 19, 1968, the daughter of James R. and Geneva (McCreary) Rutherford. Carla was a 1986 graduate of Fairfield High School and graduated from Lexington Community College in 2003. As a registered nurse, Carla worked as an oncology nurse at Christ Hospital, later she was employed at the Butler County Board of Health and was currently employed at Fort Hamilton Hospital. She was an exceptional nurse, giving unlimited care to her patients. Carla was a devoted mother who put her children first at all times. Survived by two daughters, Stevie “Katie” Kathlynn Coyner and Geneva “Eva” Honcoop; three brothers, Rod (Leslie) Rutherford, Tim Rutherford and John Rutherford; two sisters, Kathy Hanson (Tim Krauser) and Robbie (Jody) Gregory; dear friend, Wanda Osland; nieces, nephews and other friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Geneva Rutherford on June 9, 2003 and James Rutherford on April 14, 2009. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S. 3rd Street, Hamilton with Rev. Don Buttree officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
