Evelyn Accorinti, age 86, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. The daughter of Anthony and Marie (Chiappetta) Ricchio was born November 18, 1925 in Cerisano, Italy. She and her family arrived in America in July 1938. On June 1, 1946 Evelyn was united in marriage to Samuel J. Accorinti. She was a homemaker until the 1970’s when she became employed at Champion Paper in food preparation. She was a member of the kitchen club and many prayer groups. Evelyn was the beloved and cherished mother and grandmother of three sons, Perry and Mary (Ferris) Accorinti, John and Mary Ann (Chilbert) Accorinti and Dennis Accorinti; daughter Donna Accorinti; seven grandchildren, Vincent, Maggee, Sarah, Sam. Jeanette, Olivia and Daniel; brother, Jim (Maria) Ricchio and sister, Flo Trapani. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam and sister, Ida Pate.Visitation Thursday at St. Julie Billiart Church from 10:00 AM til Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM.
