GUASTAFERRO, Jane Ellen, 88, of Hamilton, passed away Friday, September 12, 2008. She was born in Delaware, OH on November 2, 1919. She was a long time employee of Elder Beerman. Jane was united in marriage to the late Joseph Guastaferro on Feb. 16, 1946. Survivors include her children: Denny Guastaferro, Mary Ann (Pete) Fischer, Nancy (Larry) Gersbach, and Tony (Sally) Guastaferro; 11 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her husband; mother Kathryn Ferris and 10 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Guastaferro was a founding member of Sacred Heart Church, and later a member of St. Peter and Chains Catholic Church. Enjoyed bowling, bingo and bridge. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14 from 5-8 PM at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 So. 3rd Street, Hamilton. Mass of the Christian Burial 11:00 AM Monday at St. Peter and Chains Catholic Church, 382 Liberty Ave., Hamilton with Father Timothy Bunch officiating. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
