What a Guy! Joseph Morry Friedlander, age 89, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Ft. Hamilton Hospital. Morry was born in Toledo, Ohio but lived the greatest portion of his life in Hamilton. He attended Ohio State University and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. On June 4, 1950, he married the love of his life, Lois Schloss, and they recently celebrated their 66th anniversary. Morry spent his entire career in the laundry & dry cleaning industry and at their annual convention, an award is given in his name for outstanding dedication and service. Morry was also very active in the community, being one of the founders of the Hamilton Little Pro Football, serving on the Boards of Senior Citizens, Ft. Hamilton Hospital and especially Beth Israel Synagogue where he served as treasurer for over 40 years. Morry loved his family and friends and many of his hobbies were indicative of this passion. He loved cooking, entertaining, tailgating and was known as “Santa Claus” to many believers both young and old. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Lois; his 2 daughters, Robin (Bob) Dulli and Barbara (Randy) New; his 3 grandchildren, Missy (Jason) Lawson, Zach (Stephanie) Dulli & Kelly Dulli; 6 great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Lauren & Finley Lawson and Max, Huck & Piper Dulli and many more relatives and friends.Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 1:00-2:00 followed by funeral services at 2:00 at Colligan Funeral Home. Burial in Beth Israel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity your choice.
