LaVerne E. (Reimer) Grevey, 94, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder where she had been a resident since 1996. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on October 25, 1916, the daughter of Earl C. and Marie (Keller) Reimer and was a lifelong resident of Hamilton. She was educated in St. Mary’s Parochical School and graduated from Hamilton High School. On May 27, 1941, at St. Mary’s Church, she married Carl D. Grevey, who preceded her in death in 1983. She was employed at the French Bauer Dairy and Laming & Tallen Plumbing for many years and in retirement she served as volunteer at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton. She is survived by a brother, Donald A. Reimer; a sister-in-law, Charlotte Reimer (Sanders); numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and two great-great nephews all of whom loved their Aunt LaVerne very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; an infant son Henry David; a brother, Robert H. Reimer and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Hart Reimer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Benevolent Care Fund at Mercy Franciscan at Schroder. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Schroder Manor followed immediately by Mass of Christian Burial and interment in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
