Le Roy F.Henes, age 71, of Hamilton passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. Le Roy, the son of Donald L. and Ruth M. (Hoffman) Henes Sr., was born in Hamilton on January 19, 1943. He was a 1961 graduate of Taft High School and had attended Miami University. On March 4, 1967 Le Roy was united in marriage to Marianne Moser. Lieutenant Henes retired from the Hamilton Police Department after 26 years of service. Survivors include, Marianne Henes; daughter Leanne Prather and her sons, Jacob and Johnathon Prather; son, Le Roy J. “Digger” (Farrah) Henes and their children, Matthew, Abigail and Elizabeth “Izzy” Henes; brother Donald L. (Sue) Henes II; nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Henes and niece, Becky Henes.Visitation will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S 3rd Street, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to the Becky Henes Scholarship Fund at Badin High School, 571 New London Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
