Marilyn Pat McCarty (Sackenheim) of Hamilton, passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 4, 2023, at the age of 97. She was born on August 5, 1926, the daughter of Herman and Jeanette (Clemens) Sackenheim. Pat married Walter O. McCarty on December 24, 1946, and they were blessed with four children: Penny, Larry, Walter and Donna. Pat and Walt enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Their home was a place that was always welcoming. Pat spent many hours donating her time and effort to Our Lady of the Rosary Makers. Where rosaries were sent to Missions Worldwide.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Walter; parents: Herman and Jeanette Sackenheim. Siblings: Earl, Joanne, and Donald Sackenheim.
Those left to carry on her legacy of love for others are her children: Penny Dixon, Larry (Cindy) McCarty, Walter Bit (Norma) McCarty and Donna (Randy) Pennington; beloved grandchildren: Dawn (Tom) Weschler, Ray (Heather) Pennington, John Pennington, Angie McCarty, Tim McCarty, Kathy (Jeremy) Alcorn, John Phillips, Michael (Amanda) Phillips and Randal (Donna) Mitchell; cherished great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held at St. Julie Billart Parish, 224 Dayton Street, Hamilton, OH 45011 on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 from 9:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Julie Billart Parish or Hospice of Southwest. A Colligan funeral home representative will be available to help with memorials.
