Mary Helen (Wolpert) Boyd, age 92, of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014. She was born in Hamilton on July 27, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Emma (Jansen) Wolpert. Mrs. Boyd, a member of Queen of Peace Church for 66 years, was proud that she and her family were the 13th family to become members of the new church. A dedicated homemaker, she enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. Her hobbies included bowling, bingo, playing bridge, and pinochle. She is survived by her children, Bill Boyd Jr., Mike (Kathy) Boyd, Tom (Chris) Boyd, Sr. Darlene Boyd SFCC, and Mary Kay (Steve) Slattery; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Rumpler; other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Boyd, grandson, Steven E. Slattery and brother, Ralph Wolpert. Visitation will be at the Colligan Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Thursday at Queen of Peace Church from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment in St. Stephen Cemetery Mausoleum In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Queen of Peace Church, 2550 Millville Ave., Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
