Phyllis “Jean” , age 76, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012. She was born in Hamilton on September 22, 1936, the daughter of Claude and Romilda (Long) Martin. Jean attended Notre Dame High School. In 1953, she was united in marriage to James Zimmerer Sr. and to this union three children were born. In 1978 she was united in marriage to Bill Watkins. Jean enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, reading and gardening. Survivors include her children, Beverly Gfroerer, Claudia Curtis, and James (Burtle) Zimmerer Jr.; 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; 8 step children; brothers, Don Martin, James (Donna) Martin, and Ralph (Nancy) Martin; sister-in-law, Joyce Martin; nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Watkins; sister, Mickey Hamburg; brother, Whitey Martin; great- granddaughter, Brooklynn; great- grandson, Ethan Gard and son-in-law, Jim Gfroerer. Visitation will be Saturday at the Colligan Funeral Home from 9:00 AM til time of services at 10:30 AM. Burial in Millville Cemetery. Online condolences to www.colliganfuneralhome.com
