Rene R. Martin, age 93, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, He was born on March 9, 1919, in Blackstone MA, the son of Pierre and Donalda (Champagne) Martin. Sgt. Martin, US Army, served His country with honor. Rene was a member of the DAV, American Legion and VFW. He retired from Generals Motors. Survivors include three sons; Russell (Shirley) Martin, Ronald (Lisa) Martin and Roger Martin; grandchildren and two sisters, Loretta and Cecille. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie I. (Land) Martin; daughter, Linda D. Martin; daughter-in-law, Kim Martin and brothers and sisters. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Colligan Funeral Home, 437 S 3rd Street, Hamilton. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Church, 201 Clark Street, Middletown. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park with Military Honors.
