Ronald “Ronnie” Smith died unexpectly, in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the age of 56. He was born in Cincinnati on August 2, 1959 to Joseph and Audrey (Adam) Smith. Ronnie was proud to have served His country with honor in the U S Army from October 4, 1976 – October 8, 1979. He was recently pursuing a degree in horticulture and garden design at Cincinnati State College. Ronnie was an avid fan of the University of Kentucky basketball team and the Cincinnati Bengals. He had a special attachment to his cat, Kitty Smitty. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Malone) Smith; sisters, Nancy (Doug) Imfeld and Kathy Smith. He is preceded in death by his beloved son, Eric Smith; parents, Joseph and Audrey Smth; brother, Michael Smith and sisters, JoAnn DeBord and Michele Wagster. A memorial service will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Colligan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Betty Malone Scholarship Fund at Badin High School , 571 New London Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 or to Animal Adoption Foundation, 2480 Ross Millville Road, Hamilton, Ohio 45013.
